You have the automatic User Needs Tagger turned on, but some articles do not get the badges telling you which User Need category they belong to, and you are wondering why that is.
The User Needs Tagger currently works with the 4-axis system (four essential and basic drivers that lead to the user needs that circle around them; for more info, visit: https://smartocto.com/blog/explaining-user-needs/):
- Fact driven: inform your audience
- Context driven: explain to your audience
- Emotion driven: move your audience
- Action driven: motivate your audience
In the tool, they are displayed as purple badges (example below).
- Fact - FAC
- Context - CON
- Emotion - EMO
- Action - ACT
If you fail to see the badges on some stories, the following scenarios are possible:
1. Your older articles are being republished with a new date.
Namely, if you are republishing your older articles, giving them a new date, and the automatic tagger was turned on after their initial publish date, your old-new articles will not have the user needs tag. This is because the system knows it is an older article that was already published.
2. We could not scrape the text of your articles that is needed for the user needs analysis.
Sometimes, your site can block certain articles (security configurations, layouts, etc.), preventing us from getting the information we need and assigning a proper tag to your article.
