Your daily default big-screen dashboard.
By clicking on Current, a new tab will open, allowing you to see the real-time graphs of your data. These dashboards are often called 'big-screen dashboards' as they often serve as an overall performance tracking tool.
The left side
On the graph below (on the left) you can see the number of pageviews coming from your articles in the last 30 minutes, as well as when and on which platforms they were published (homepage, Facebook, newsletter. etc.). If you have an app (and the code is up and running there too), you will also be able to see the traffic numbers (pageviews) coming from there as well.
Below the article title, you can see where the traffic is coming from for each story (it is colour-coded based on the legend on the right).
The little arrows before the title (green or red) indicate whether a story is trending or not. Meaning that the number of pageviews is going up in the last 30 minutes. If stories have the green arrow next to them it means that they are trending. The red arrow means that stories are falling out of the trend.
If the story has a euro sign (€), it means that this story is a paid story (not visible if you do not have subscriptions or you have not set it/implemented the code properly).
The right side
Views today
The grey area shows you what your normal day looks like. It takes the data from the last 8 weeks (depending on the day you are looking at) and shows you what is typical for you. The purple line tells you what is happening now and whether you are in the usual traffic ranges or not.
If you have the app data, you will see additional two lines (one for the web and one for the app traffic; the purple one is the total).
Engagement last 30 minutes
This graph shows your articles that are trending on Facebook in the last 30 minutes, and the engagement that we refer to is the engagement coming from social actions on Facebook (social actions being likes, shares, link clicks, etc.). Below the article title, you can see where the traffic is coming from for each story (it is colour-coded based on the legend on the right).
The little arrows before the title (green or red) indicate whether a story is trending or not. Meaning that the number of actions is going up in the last 30 minutes. If stories have the green arrow next to them it means that they are trending. The red arrow means that stories are falling out of the trend.
If the story has a euro sign (€), it means that this story is a paid story (not visible if you do not have subscriptions or you have not set it/implemented the code properly).
You can also see which articles are published on which platform (little icons you see above the story titles).
Single metrics
- Views last 30 minutes
On the right, in the lower left corner, you have the number of pageviews for the last 30 minutes coming from your article and landing pages (if implemented). For more info on landing pages, visit this article: https://knowledgebase.smartocto.com/smartocto-tentacles-script-setup#setup_pagetype, but please, also write to support@smartocto.com. - Active users last 30 minutes
On the right, in the lower right corner, you have the number of active users for the last 30 minutes coming from your whole site. Metric Active users shows the total of active visitors to pages on which the smartocto tracker is added. The total includes active visitors on the website and/or app. By default, it shows the period for the last 30 minutes unless it is set otherwise per your request.
