Here you can find top reports used by our biggest clients!

In this tutorial, we will only show setup details to use in your reports. To learn more about how to create reports, add recipients, send them to unregistered users, etc, go to this page.

 

 

1. Missed Opportunites - Shows yesterday's articles that can be put on the homepage, promote on social media, etc

This report will have two lists in Setup Data, List 1 will contain data with high ENG CPI and low EXP CPI and List 2 will contain data with low ENG CPI and high EXP CPI. To learn more about CPI, go to this page.

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Article
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Data period: Day
  • Title: Yesterday’s missed opportunities
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be registered Insights user)

Setup data:

List 1:

  • Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): Published date, Title, Exposure CPI, Engagement CPI
  • Sort by: Engagement CPI (Highest first)
  • Limit: 5
  • Thresholds: Engagement CPI - Higher than - 850 (then click on + sign to add another threshold) Exposure CPI - Lower Than - 600
  • Filter: Include all articles 
  • (Leave Include all content unchecked)
  • Block label: Missed Opportunities - Loved by your readers, not enough exposure. Can we promote these more today?

List 2:

  • Scroll to the top and add another list, Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): Published date, Title, Exposure CPI, Engagement CPI
  • Sort by: Exposure CPI (Highest first)
  • Limit: 5
  • Thresholds: Engagement CPI - Lower than - 600 (then click on + sign to add another threshold) Exposure CPI - Higher Than - 850
  • Filter: Include all articles
  • (Leave Include all content unchecked)
  • Block label: Missed Opportunities - High exposure but not enough engagement, can we enrich these stories today?
  • Save report

 

 

2. ‘’Churn prevention’’ - Yesterday (last weeks) articles that didn’t satisfy your loyal readers

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Article
  • Frequency: Weekly
  • Delivery Day: Whenever you want (usually Monday)
  • Data period: Week
  • Date relative to: Relative to period 
  • Title: Churn Prevention (Weekly)
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be registered Insights user)

Setup data:

  • Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): Published date, Title, Loyalty CPI, Visitors Loyal, Att, Time Avg (mm:ss), Page Depth, Read Depth Avg (%)
  • Sort by: Loyalty CPI (Highest first)
  • Limit: 25
  • Thresholds: Loyalty CPI - Lower than - 300
  • Filter: Include all articles
  • (Leave Include all content unchecked)
  • Block label: Articles that didn’t satisfy your loyal readers

 

 

3. Subscribers favorites - best read by your subscribers

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Traffic
  • Frequency: Weekly/Monthly
  • Data period: One week/One Month
  • Title: Subscriber’s favorites (Weekly)
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be registered Insights user)

Setup data:

  • Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): Published Date, Title, CPI ENG, Article Reads
  • Sort by: ENG CPI - Highest First
  • Limit: 10
  • Thresholds: ENG CPI - Higher than - 899
  • Filter: Include all articles
  • (Leave Include all content unchecked)
  • Block label: Subscribers favorites

 

 

4. Champion articles in the period regardless of their published date

This report will have two variants, daily and monthly champions. NOTE: This report will use a Traffic perspective because of include all content option. Be mindful of the nature of the perspective - the calculation is done on the selection of data only, not on the website's entire traffic. To read more about CPI perspectives go to this page.

1st variant - Daily champions regardless of their publish date

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Traffic
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Data period: 1 day
  • Title: Daily champions regardless of their publish date
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be registered Insights user)

Setup data:

  • Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): Title, Visitors ENG, Article Reads, Topics
  • Sort by: Visitors ENG - Highest first 
  • Limit: 10
  • Thresholds: /
  • Filter: Include all articles
  • Include all content CHECKED
  • Block label: Champion articles (Yesterday)

 

2nd variant - Monthly champions regardless of their publish date

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Traffic
  • Frequency: Monthly
  • Data period: 1 month
  • Title: Monthly champion articles regardless of their publish date
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be registered Insights user)

Setup data:

  • Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): Title, Publish date, CPI, Article Reads, Topics
  • Sort by: CPI - Highest first 
  • Limit: 10
  • Thresholds: CPI is higher than 800
  • Filter: Include all articles
  • Include all content - CHECKED
  • Block label: Champion articles (Monthly)

 

 

5. Fully read champions - Articles read completely by your readers

This report can be made daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on your choice. Important thing is to match the Frequency and Data period (for example, if you want a weekly report, the Frequency and Data period will be weekly).

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Article 
  • Frequency: day / week / month
  • Data period: day / week / month
  • Title: Fully read champions (daily, weekly or monthly)
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be registered Insights user)

Setup data:

  • Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): title, the article reads, cpi, read depth, att time
  • Sort by: read depth, attention time, article reads
  • Limit: 20
  • Thresholds: CPI is higher than 500
  • Filter: Include all articles
  • (Leave Include all content unchecked)
  • Block label: Fully read champions

 

 

6. Top Articles per section

This report can be made daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on your choice. Important thing is to match the Frequency and Data period (for example, if you want a weekly report, the Frequency and Data period will be weekly).

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Article
  • Frequency: day / week / month
  • Data period: day / week / month
  • Title: Top Articles for NAME OF THE SECTION (daily, weekly or monthly)
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be a registered Insights user)

Setup data:

  • Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): title, the article reads, cpi, read depth, att time
  • Sort by: read depth, attention time, article reads
  • Limit: 20
  • Thresholds: CPI is higher than 500
  • Filter: Include all articles in a SPECIFIC SECTION
  • (Leave Include all content unchecked)
  • Block label: Top Articles per section

 

 

7. Popular topics in the selected period

This report can be made daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on your choice. Important thing is to match the Frequency and Data period (for example, if you want a weekly report, the Frequency and Data period will be weekly).

  • CPI Perspective: Article
  • Frequency: day / week / month
  • Data period: day / week / month
  • Title: Popular topics (daily, weekly or monthly)
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be a registered Insights user)

Setup data:

  • Add List > Topic List
  • Columns under topic list (add them in the following order): Number of articles, Article Reads, CPI, Eng, Exp, Loy
  • Sort by: Number of articles
  • Limit: 20
  • Thresholds: CPI Eng is higher than 600
  • Filter: include all topics
  • Block label: Popular Topics

 

 

8. Not-so popular topics in the selected period

This report can be made daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on your choice. Important thing is to match the Frequency and Data period (for example, if you want a weekly report, the Frequency and Data period will be weekly).

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Article
  • Frequency: day / week / month
  • Data period: day / week / month
  • Title: Not-so popular topics (daily, weekly or monthly)
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be a registered Insights user)

  • Add List > Topic List
  • Columns under Topic list (add them in the following order): Number of articles, Article Reads, CPI, Eng, Exp, Loy
  • Sort by: Number of articles
  • Limit: 20
  • Thresholds: CPI lower than 500
  • Filter: include all topics
  • Block label: Not so popular topics

 

 

9. ‘’Clickbait behavior’’ daily report

This report will show articles that attract a lot of readers but are not engaged enough with the content.

This report can be made daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on your choice. Important thing is to match the Frequency and Data period (for example, if you want a weekly report, the Frequency and Data period will be weekly).

Setup details:

  • CPI Perspective: Article
  • Frequency: day / week / month
  • Data period: day / week / month
  • Title: Not-so popular topics (daily, weekly or monthly)
  • Recipients: Whoever you want (must be a registered Insights user)

Setup data:

  • Add List > Article List
  • Columns under article list (add them in the following order): Title, Article reads, CPI ENG, CPI EXP
  • Sort by: ENG lowest first
  • Limit: 5-10
  • Thresholds: Exposure higher than 900 +  Engagement lower than 500
  • Filter: Include all 
  • Block label: These articles attract a lot of readers but they are not engaged enough, check them out!
